This song is important to me because it reminds me of my dad who passed when I was twelve. Every christmas he would play it and tell us it was a 'real' christmas song. I remember the first time that I heard it after he died, I cried, and cried. But now when it comes on at Christmas it makes me smile and think of him.

How much chills and power can a song give? This is probably the most valuable album in my life. The build-up of this song is genius. At the end of the song, when the guitar climbs those high scales, I always get goosebumps. That's what music is for! Divine.

I started playing the guitar when I was about 14 years old. It was actually before I had even discovered my (musical) identity. There was nothing I really wanted to learn to play because it felt like nothing suited me. When I first heard this song, I was immediately sold and I immediately started learning to play it. I see this song as the real starting point of my 'career' as a hobby guitarist and it was defining for my music taste. This week marks ten years since the release of the song and the Burgh Island EP. And in those ten years, I look back on my evolution and 'renaissance' as a man, music lover and musician. It offers me strength, hope and purpose for life.
